David James - English

Blown on the Wind

James preferred to create studies of the sea itself, rather than paint seascapes in the sense of topographical reproductions of a coastline. There is a purity about this approach to the seascape that has been taken up by many contemporary painters in the genre.

My Grandmother recently passed away and we we wondering if anyone knew the approximate value of her original David James oil painting, named "Sea of Cornwall", dated 1887, and sized at approximately 610mm x 1220mm(24"x48") excluding the frame.
